50 years ago a billion village women and a former oil company ceo Fazle Abed started networking "Decentralised Pan-Asia Village Investing : NFTs (that wasnt the jargon they used ; for 25 years withour electricity); using SDgoal numbering UN declared in 2015, their 1970s startup networks designed NFT4 3 2 1 and partnership of 5,6 and resilience 7 upwards. We are using SDG code numbers which weren't declared by nations as relevant to gravitate around to 2015. What happened at the end of the 20th C is someone at a silicon valley millennium goals party asked the billion girls envoy to share their knowhow across hemispheres. So the GOUP Global University of Poverty was formed inviting all female graduates to collaborate across communities needed sdg solutions - in other words, NFT world started to to loop the loop 4 3 2 1 16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5&17 (ie not PPP but me-too joyful PWomenP) -Is this the right stuff of millennial world's greatest celebrities SDgoats.com and naturally the most loving players sdgs.games (lets co-blog, roadmap, and see what humanlty and AI possible) Thanks to Meta-womens.

see www.economistgreen.com & ecop26.com - how transparently are 199 nations are publishing climate promises & demands to each other? - which do you like best - eg france after 2040 ban on selling gas /diesel cars

Glasgow adam smith scholars have added journal of new economics to journal of social busienss begun after 250th keynote moral sentiments 2008

americans having failed for 4 yeras under trump to team play cliamte at all have now wrongly focused on china as world biggest thrreat- that they cant see the dangers lurking round russia and europe's enabling of manic leadership through being energy (machine europe and human food africa stiill hungpver from Eu ag policy) reflects very poorly on all american schools of economics and geonomics; that american policy makers still have learny=t bootom up chaos modeling from covid makes one wonded if the world can last with a nation drowning its richest vetsed interests

we learnt from Galsh=gow taht teh world's biggest organsiations have given up on 1.5 degreesd and say they will promise under 2.5; thats no good delta countriesd like bangladesh will be flloded pout by about 2 degree- worse its mnot a linear game imagine if mother nator at 2.5 degrres says go to 5 debrees and do not pass go - thats what happens when expoentual multi=ply each otehr because all kf natutre's crisis=es multiply each other - they do not model additively but multiplicatively - this is basic maths in thye world of eistein , noeumamm=mann and friends - could it be that we no longer have schools k-12 that develop maths genouses - not even one in usa?

maths like sports. music, art is an expereiential subject ; which is also about confidence of defining previously unseen consytexts and new compasses - what the need has been evetr since we kicked off 100 times more tech per decade 1951

GO TO SOURCES- for peoples students and teachers uniting to prevent extiction

we catalogue events at EconomistDiary.com

On goals1 to 5 we suggest start with www.abeduni.com or www.economistpoor.com

on sanitation we would probably start at singapore's www.worldtoilet.com which is also the bop hub - we have been publishing good hub guide since 2005 - unfortunately one of early partners the impact hub has not paid back social business loans that were made to it - until it does we recommend not going there - singapore is extremely useful place to have a connected sourec is- perhaps more than any other country its peoples are middle class and up - and understand that by massively advancing sustainability projects of neighbors singapore becomes the world's number i trading hub for good or at least sdgs -it is able to do this as it has a large enough number of tech wizards who actually go into government- there would be an interesting question as to wjetjer the uae might one day emulate sinagpore - 3 reasons why thsi may be long way off- womens culture is not equal in uae though some of its smartest people are women taking on lead positions; the region is having to transition from oil riches to the future; there remains a nightmare of conflicting and failed nations which will not mainly caused by the uae make its situation different from singapore that founded asean as a club of nations that historically promised peace to each other; admittedly what is happening in myanmar is becoming a test of asean leadership

as soon as we think climate we cant divorce progress from geopolitics - thats why the last para was long

Is it possible for media or universities to be designed to end poverty?

Our Definition of Ending Poverty - a world designed so that each next girl or boy born has a good chance at life- in turn this means every community is designed to sustain this goal

History distributed life opportunities very unevenly geographically- even as President Kennedy declared the 1960s goal of racing to the moon - the majority of peoples lived in rural areas without access to electricity and with life expectancies over 20 years below

Once you know that it should be no surprise that the entrepreneurship's number 1 university partnership of last mile health is closely related to partnering universities in ending poverty; ...

The main ways a billion village women in Asia ended poverty were through microfranchises :

replicating last mile rice production where knowledge linked ti alumni of borlaug increases village productivity several fold

designing last mile health services in bangladesh over 100000 village others made positive cashflow by doordashing 10 non prescription medical items; each mother had a route of 300 homes to visit weekly; over time she because the most trusted person for medical news such as when to get vaccinated

It wasnt until 1996 solar and mobile partners came to villages that village networking could be anything other than person to person; after that both internet and university could be designed to both connect partners COLLAB platforms and both microfranchise specifications and deeper research - see these 36 collaborations which have turned brac into both the largest ngo partnership and the number 1 universities of 1 early childhood play, 2 last mile medicine, 3 ultra poor financials services...download one page guide

Between founding in 1843 to 1990 The London Economist overarching editorial purpose was mediating end of poverty. Its sub-editor Norman Macrae 1947-1988 was also biographer of John Von Neumann and advanced the logic of The Economist December 1976 that designing every community as a thriving place to ne born into would need bottom-up transformation in which biggest corporates and governments were likely to pose the greatest compound risks to the 21st C celebrating the first sustainability generation

why are partners in university of early childhood playschools huge jobs opportunity of sustainability generation

formats for eg kids 3 to 6 year olds show wide variations in outcomes but the good ones are fairly easy to benchmark now that abed university has 15 yera learning curve

hgoal 1 create a space in which kids and teacher love each other- have safe space; enjoy peer to peer events like circular sing songs
make sure teacher is respected by whole community

make sure tehre is a fullstructural program - playbooks which are understood for their learning content (eg montessori is about 90 yeras int this)

thetre are also some special and some magic additions

specials if some or all kids are under huge stress (eg refugees) then there is now a lot of transferable knowhow on why this is the urgent stage to inetrvene and help reset child's school expereince

magic we now know that if for example children are still having readinfg difficulty - there is a 30 hour intervention (90 days of 20 minute ie abou one term to resolve this )- no child should leave at age 6 illiterate; this also means chhildren start with much more equality (good for everyone) at primary school

-there are huge adcanatge to community parents teachers as well as kids if best way of playschool is applied

=========================================
poart 2 over last 14 yera we have received mire and more reports all of the world that half of kids are not going to find jobs unless they havenew abilities - eg enetrepreneurial and financial literacy wjasts jhappened is that classrook schools are gerareed t age of big employers that icreasingly doesnt exist; class room schools are not geared to amximsing apprenticeshops or community engagement even though these are where 21st c jobs are increasigly found

most skils now need esxpereintial practice- while we know a mistcian needs her own eperientual learning, its just as true of any use of technology or any perfor, ace in a service economy

by focusing the whole world on the emnw opportunity of early childhood we can resent relationships between school systems communite9s etachers kids and make sure that where needed all ages of schooling are redesigned

if you look at educational chpaters in 1984's 2025 report you will see much more exploration on why rechnology required chnage to schools; eleders have left it late not continuous belnding real and digital until covid came along- nows the time to make sure we seriously help everyone redesign including making sure teachers have time to relearn

if you look at antonio gutteres proposal to hold youth futuers summit in 2023 - the advantage will go to places that take the urgent opportunity to join in designing co-creative schooling processes which are simly at teh heart of playschool

what would humanity miss if XXX did not exist? I published this new economics/valuation genre "Chartering" with The Economist Intel Unit while working at the globalisation consultancy of one of the big 5 accountants 1995. Of all the leaders purposes journalists and researchers have chartered in last quarter of century, I value that of Fazle Abed most.

As discussed here, Fazle's purpose devoted 5 decades 1970s through 010s - helping a billion poorest women map up to 30 collaboration networks resolving life critical challenges .

If lives are falling apart in your community I can try and help you search which 4 of 30 abed networks you need. At its simplest communities need hi-trust actionable advice/societal action networking on health, education, finance, engineering. They need this advice to have intergenerational consistency for at least 25 years. That's HERSTORY now evidenced by a billion village women!.

FUTURE Now: if my friends maths models since 1984 are correct -we somehow need to apply tech to deep community data everywhere that children are born and co-create first sustainability generation by 2030.

chris macrae short bio- the future of university became an amateur passion after my first job at uk national dev project computer assisted learning university of leeds; i never earned more than a masters in statistics from cambridge's' DAMTP 1973; from 1976 i helped the worlds biggest western companies collect data needed for innovation but from 1990 i became more interested in unique purpose of leaders- co-research with my father (The Economist's Norman Macrae) on 2 books including biography of john von neumann has made our main scientific hypothesis since 1984 that the human race's extinction battle with nature must be collaboratively resolved in 2020s - the most exciting time to be alive and celebrate fellow human beings

>related knowhow -at normanmacrae.net 15 years of survey on Asia rising 1962-1977 including 2 new economic models rural keynesianism and japan/korea/taiwans CAPITAL coastal belt roadsters redesigning value chains of engineers as borderless sme networks and supercity infrastructures; 60 years of tech entrepreneurial revolution inspired by being biographer of what von neumann expected 100 times "moore" tech would be used to unite humans by 2020s please rsvp chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk Glasgow & Washington DC

i value transparency of family trees a lot - no need to read remainder of this post unless you love swapping family trees - i am at linkedin UNWOMENS -we offer economist co-blogs on 30 purposes from UN to Green to Health to Black to AI to future to Japan to ,,,

welcome to my (friends & family) networks on yuth-centric learning on human nature worldwide- as diaspora scots i can trace some of my family's biggest concerns back to 1843- at that time my many times great grandfather was the isle of arran's missionary- an island which is today 40 minutes ferry ride from mainland scotland, and another 40 mins train ride from glasgow - see economistdiary.com ecop26.com xglasgow.com sdgscotland.com

the island probably consisted of 1000 servants 1 priest 1 lord's family; 20000 sheep- like the rest of scotland capitalists from london were ordering scottish lords- you make more money quarterly by raising sheep- thin the scottish people- my family's solution on sundays debate in one large village circle which family wanted to emigrate next and send a message to the lord that he could thin another 5 people if he paid their shipping usually to usa - this happened all over scotland until 80% of scots live worldwide

down in london, my hero london-scot james wilson thought empire thinning of people was just one of many human wrongs of white empire alongside slavetrading, genocide, colonising, and controling agricultural markets price so that neighbors such as the irish starved; he started a newspaper, the economist in 1843 as a weekly gossip letter he circulated in londons royal societies

at that time quuen victoria with albert was still young in heart and strong in mind- she liked the idea of reigning over commonwealth instead of slavemaking

so she gave james a bank licence- charter bank- to go develop financial services by and for the peoples of india out of the then capital calcutta - there in 1860 james died of diarrhea within 9 months of landing -it was to take 83 and 120 years before my family's intelligence directly converged with james wilson legacy

lets skip trough my family tree to my father norman macrae after just mentioning that my mothers farher was a 4th generation scot in bombay who had mainly been pharmacists (landmark: kemps corner) but sir ken qualified as a barrister about 20 years after gandhi but found humself as britains chief justice mediating gandhi for 25 years before ken's last job writing up all india's independence- he had been told to assume all india was one nation not the partition into unequal thirds it became; at around the same time gradad was typing up independence dad norman macrae was spending his last days a a teen navigating planes in bomber command stationed in burma; from burma you can look west across bay of bengal to india including kamala harris maternal homeland chennai and central asia, or fly south to singapore and asean , or look to your north to china and where the then enemy japan were ruling the skies

thanks to americans dad and so i existed- after being in keynes last class dad got a job at the economist where he was well positioned to take up james wilsons baton; within 15 years dad concluded japan had transformed in the most joyful way- it was developing around 2 new economic models one rural, one supercity which all asia could win-win trade with - thats over 60% of humans most of whom had never seen electricity let alone win-win trading maps for centuries due to colonisation mainly by london- in 1962 president kennedy within a week of dads publication consider japan was cheering on this new future sustaining everyone -kennedy started declaring american interdence as the future of von neumann's legacy- but within a year both kennedy and medgar evers were assassinated- and quite frankly i cant really understand america's asian policy ever since- fine that not my business- but it most certainly was the business of anyone supporting billion womens empowerment around fazle abed;

... in the 1950s the teenage fazle abed travelled to glasgow to study naval engineering; this was about 65 years after gandhi had gone from indua's north west coast to london to study to be a barrister; fazle abed travelled from what had been india's far north east (recolonised as east pakistan his homeland was to regain independence as bangladesh 1971) : abed graduated from glasgow, went to london , mastered charter accountancy and by the early 1960s he had landed a job at royal dutch shell oil corporation; and by 1970 was his home regions ceo for shell; there a million people died all around him in a cyclone; this changed his life: for half a century he became a collaborative networker of villagers ending poverty -he redesigned disaster relief to be bottom up and aid around microfranchising women village entrepreneurs; - he was thus bringing what james wilson had left off 110 years earlier but in abeds case his bank blocked from serving calcutta reached out to provide the rural keynesianism investmemts and the village microfranchise solutions that up to a billion village mothers used bth to build bangladesh and rural china; how that was done can be learnt or co-created at www.abedmooc.com through 2020s if we want all our children to be the sustainability generation

www.economistasia.net for over 60 yearsstaring in The Economist we havent believed climate or sgdg will be resolved without equal participation of asians about twon thirsds of humans in terms of ethnicity against roughtly 13% white and 13% african with remainder either latin american or maybe wanting to unite round some other variable - eg about quarter of all nations are sids- small islands - the mess huge contients make of teh oceans needs to be a more urgent reason to unite than culture or geo-position unless an island is completely unsustainable which it seems to me haiti is

we have little idea o climate sources to go to first in our view include gzero eg here

tech sources the un's #aiforgood - this has got complicated - it was very good first year of covid as everything geneva used to convene as a summit round teh responsibility of all the largest mobile telecoms owners went online- but then every 4 years the itu which now calls itself the digital world union spends 12 months debating the next 4 years standards as far as it can agree - so from october through december there is an outstanding cast of decision makers linking through events hosted virtually and out of vietnam!

these link to hundreds of cases we have assembled over 14 years from bangladesh -its complicated i met muhammad yunus at least 50 times often at day long entrepreneur competitions i was helping to judge - I began to find out everything about microcreditsummit that had been a funding lobby (as well as a platform of well intended people but ones in the middle of their own geopolitical crises like the clintons and queen sofia of spain and the UN in Kenya (made worse by Obama albeit subprime put him on a losing wicket from day 1 though it is amazing he did not build on clues in his mothers own work, and somehow the digital incompetence of the democrats in 2016 versus trumps use of facebook is part of the unending crisis - hatred spinning in hearltand usa today bidenuni.com ) not necessarily where to learn what is new 50th happy birthday of bangladesh women linking bottom up to build bangladesh's capacity to sustain out of every village - this is different from eg building infrastructure when you are trapped by hostile neighbors with the exception of china which as far as bangladesh goes up to 2010 shared solutions but seldom financed anything in bangladesh at least not on the scale of the old white empires that had trapped bangaldesh people in 1971's starting position of poorest anywhere in the world and 8th largest population

when it comes to climate and other massive collaboration goals implied by 17 through to 6 - I dont have many clues but here are some I go to first - where do you go? chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk- this mail is one being shared with associates in glasgow; they have bene connecting adam smith scholars and bangladesh expats since 2008 when yunus gave the 250th declaration speech of adam smith moral sentiments - after glasgow we hope to have time to assign under 30s teams with mentors to massively cleaning up the question of which bookmarks - if you can help please say we have strong representation from far north eg scotland, and nordica; we know our way round bangladesh and most partners of long term investments in bangladesh but whilst we have tried to include every contient my linguistic failures are one reason why we are still not sure if for example friends in india and spain who we have been chatting to for over 15 years mutually understand the need to question every map from every multilateral combination of countries sharing 5g technology- it is technology which is moving faster than we humans are in determining will we unite and at last chance produce a first sustainability generation or go ever further off on extinction's orbits

hi all - short question and optional longer one - SHORT QUESTION if you have 1 or 2 favorite bookmarks to climate -ideally offering short over all summary but deep links to their lobics please share over next 2 weeks - example i like https://us12.campaign-archive.com/?e=b1f9d4ac55&u=7404e6dcdc8018f49c82e941d&id=958e2bc2b7 largely speaking if i want to globally check a crisis' numbers gzsero is one of places I prefer to start- this does not mean they have every local way forward nor do they necessaily have the most influencer on western investment funds who still have put one dollar of 300 trillion pension money dillars onto and sdg lead network let alone climate - LONGER QUUESTION yes i do mean trillion; and yes 3 days ago one of the british upper classes conformed that the mass of western pension money is still bunkered off; of course in the west most of this money is in turn assigned to government workers - a double catch 22 - few people in western government have really leaked how bad climate maths really is; if wre to choose a second bookmark it would be to one of the world leadership hosts that has since covid published most of tehir summits on youtube - bloomberg and schwab (world economic forum) are two of the leaders in this - unfortunatley there is so much stuff that really need teams of stdents to go through it and turn it into 5 minute online mofule- its a pity brac university is not freeing ist students to do this - it has been confirmed to me that while a few specific legacy projects of fazle abed are doing well ultra poor and early childhood schools- most is losing its way - evn the future of bangaldesh's garment sector seems to be permanetly stalled in terms of being designed to continue to fund women end poverty
